Performance Line is Bosch's all-round drive system. The three versions below (Cruise, Sport and Speed) are from Bosch's earlier eBike System 2, and you'll still find them on a lot of bikes we've sold and service. Bosch's current Smart System has its own lineup, including Active Line Plus, Performance Line (75 Nm), Performance Line CX, Cargo Line and Performance Line Speed, with 5th-generation drive units added in 2025. Performance Line Cruise provides as much as 65 Nm of torque to a maximum speed of 20 mph, with an impressively natural pedaling sensation, even on challenging uphill terrain.

Performance Line Sport is geared toward high pedal cadence cycling. The drive unit only weighs 7 pounds and continues to accelerate smoothly at speeds greater than 20 mph, up to a maximum speed of 28 mph.
