Upgrade pricing outline

Upgrades are a great way to personalize your ride and make your eBike stand out from the crowd. Whether you want to upgrade your display, drivetrain, suspension, or more, Propel is here to help you make your dreams come true, but it comes at a cost…

Here’s the breakdown:

Upgrades are priced at $100/hr.  For example, if the modification takes 30 minutes, it will cost $50.  If it takes 2 hours, it will cost $200 in labor.  If it takes 15 minutes, it will cost $16, etc.

  • Display upgrade (no motor drop required): cost of the display + $50/30min of labor
  • Display upgrade w/ motor drop: cost of display + $200/2 hours of labor
  • Tire upgrade: cost of tires + $50/30min of labor
  • Tannus Liner installation: cost of Tannus Liners + $100/1 hour of labor
  • Tubeless upgrade (for compatible bikes): cost of parts + $150/1.5 hours of labor
  • Pedal upgrade: cost of pedals + $10/6min of labor
  • Saddle upgrade: cost of saddle + $10/6min of labor
  • Change of grips: cost of grips + $10/6min of labor
  • Simple handlebar upgrade (no modifications required): cost of handlebars + $50/30min of labor
  • Handlebar upgrade w/ stem swap: cost of handlebars + cost of stem + $100/ 1 hour of labor
  • Handlebar upgrade w/ cable lengthening required (w/ or w/out stem swap): cost of handlebars + cost of parts + $200/2 hours of labor
  • Headlight upgrade: cost of headlight + $50/30min of labor
  • Headlight upgrade w/ motor drop required: cost of headlight + $200/2 hours of labor
  • Taillight upgrade: cost of taillight + $50/30min of labor
  • Taillight upgrade w/ motor drop required: cost of taillight + $200/2 hours of labor
  • Brake light upgrade on a Class 1 eBike: $100 for the Supernova TL3 + $50/30min of labor
  • Brake light upgrade on a Class 1 eBike w/ motor drop required: $100 for the Supernova TL3 + $200/2 hours of labor
  • Keyed alike lock installed: cost of locks + $10/6min of labor for each battery/ cafe lock

Be sure to reference key # on bike configuration and order locks corresponding to key #, don’t start a new key code unless the bike comes with ABUS T82, AXA, or Trelock locks, all of which are not keyed alike compatible.

  • 2nd battery installation (for compatible bikes): cost of battery + fees + dual battery kit + optional keyed alike lock(s) + $200/2 hours of labor

  • Front or rear rack installation (no wiring required): cost of rack + $50/30min of labor
  • Front or rear rack installation (wiring needed): cost of rack + $100/1 hour of labor (additional charge for mounting brackets or hardware may be required)
  • Fork upgrade (for compatible bikes): cost of fork + $200/2 hours of labor
  • Rear suspension upgrade (for compatible bikes): cost of rear shock + $100/1 hour of labor
  • Dropper seatpost installation (for compatible bikes): cost of dropper post + $150-$300/1.5 hours- 3 hours depending on bike model
  • Trailer hitch installation: (we need brand and model details of trailer and bike in order to do this) cost of parts + labor based on specific models
  • Hexlox parts: there are variations based on bike model, and even variations within a single bike model.  We need axle dimensions, seatpost clamp and stem details, including if the bolts are stainless or magnetic, and the dimensions of the bolt being replaced.
